The Borderliners Podcast – Season To Date

I’m happy to announce that The Borderliners Podcast is back in production.

Alongside The DSR Ghostwriting Podcast (which is about to skyrocket in audio quality once my new USB mic arrives), this is my main current podcasting initiative.

So far we have talked to:

We also interviewed Aleeza Chanowitz — a talented young filmmaker. Unfortunately, due to what could euphemistically be describes as “technical difficulties” that episode is on a long-term hiatus.

The show’s tongue-in-cheek promo line is to “interview the people nobody else wants to,” by interviewing “peripheral characters from the fringes of Israeli society.”

More seriously, we are looking to meet — and interview — people from Jerusalem’s complex social fabric, including religious leaders, ethnic groups, and …. people doing interesting things.

We have lined up and/or are working our networks to interview:

  • A Jerusalem-based UN peacekeeper
  • A Jerusalem-based diplomat attached to a Consulate
  • A Jerusalem-based priest
  • A member of the Ethiopian community
  • A member of the Russian community

To challenge stereotypes and just interview interesting people we’re also looking to talk to:

  • An Egged bus driver
  • A full-time falafel shop worker
  • A random tourist
  • Somebody that has worked in the binary/forex industry (context)

And through out networks:

  • Several startup founders
  • A digital nomad
  • Quite a selection of other interesting characters.
